This is a football simulation game that succeeds the previous FIFA titles following the end of the partnership with the international football federation. Although presented as the first in the series, it is actually the 31st instalment of the franchise. The company stated in its official announcement that the rebranded franchise would maintain its licences covering more than 19,000 players, over 700 teams, 100 stadiums and support for over 30 languages, all based on real people and teams.
Anyone with experience of the FIFA games knows that the menus were rather dull, with slow loading, complicated navigation and an unappealing visual style. However, the developers seized on the EA Sports rebrand as an opportunity to make significant improvements to the menus. They are now considerably improved, more user-friendly, almost intuitive, and logically organised.
In addition to access to the 30 leagues mentioned previously, such as the Premier League, Europa League and Women's Super League, EA has included two new women's leagues — the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga and the Liga F.
FC 24 places a strong emphasis on realism. EA has introduced what they call "Play Styles," which further enhance gameplay realism. By combining motion capture techniques with real player data from various sources, these new Play Styles give players unique skills, making their gaming experience even more authentic.
Another notable improvement concerns HyperMotion, now updated to HyperMotion V (the "V" standing for volumetric data, using footage captured by cameras placed around stadiums during more than 180 top-level matches to recreate authentic player movements). The advanced Frostbite Engine helps reinforce the game's realism, allowing players to observe the ripple of players' shirts as they move across the pitch.
