No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky for PC is a survival action-adventure game in which the player takes the form of a humanoid alien who has crash-landed and receives the basics of what they need to survive and even thrive. Equipped with a multi-tool, the player can follow on-screen guidance from an entity called Atlas. These instructions lead players along a pre-established path, giving them many opportunities to exploit resources, fight or trade, and team up with other players or aliens (the latter are generated by server algorithms as needed, as in the more remote parts of the cosmos).
